Ketchup mild Primavika is a universal additive for meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Organic Ketchup for Everyday Meals

A child reaches for one bottle at the table and leaves another, and our six ketchups differ enough for that to happen. Primavika covers the organic ketchup side with three 315 g jars: mild, spicy and a recipe made without vinegar for children. Krokus adds two 180 g bottles, one of them with a front label that needs a second reading. See where those differences sit before you pick a jar!

Ketchup varieties in the range

Two things separate the jars on this shelf: the size of the pack and how sharp the sauce tastes. Primavika works in 315 g jars and covers both ends of that range. A mild ketchup goes on children's plates and on sandwiches without taking over the taste of the food. Krokus runs smaller, at 180 g, which suits a household that opens ketchup rarely and finishes a bottle slowly.

The spicy ketchup takes the same jar in a sharper direction and holds its own next to grilled meat and chips. The third Primavika recipe skips vinegar and is made for children's plates, which changes its taste and its storage. Alongside the organic ketchup jars we also list a BioTechUSA zero sauce in a 350 ml bottle. It is a sports-nutrition product without organic certification.

Ketchup without added sugar

Tomatoes carry their own sugars, which is why no added sugar is the accurate phrase for any organic ketchup. Under UK rules a sugar-free claim sits below 0.5 g of sugars per 100 g. No added sugar means only that nothing sweet went into the recipe. Both belong on the back of the jar, where the ingredients and the sugar figure are printed.

One Krokus product is sold under the trade name „Ketchup No Sugar” on a 180 g bottle. The name belongs to the marketing, and the ingredients list underneath decides what you are actually buying. We would describe that jar as a ketchup with no added sugar, since the tomato base brings sugars of its own.

Vinegar-free ketchup for children

Vinegar does two jobs in ketchup at once: it sharpens the taste and helps an open jar keep. A ketchup without vinegar tastes rounder and needs using up faster once opened. Primavika makes this ketchup for children in the same 315 g jar as its mild and spicy recipes. The same meal usually ends with something sweet. The lollipops and jellies among our healthy sweets for kids come in small single packs.

Ingredients list on a ketchup label

Among ketchup ingredients, sugar can appear under several names, including syrup and concentrated juice. The order of the list shows how much of each one is there. The components run from the largest share down. An organic certificate covers how the tomatoes were grown and checked, and says nothing about the sugars in the finished sauce.

That is why we show the organic mark at the product itself. Our organic products section brings together the brands that carry it, from Bio Planet to Dary Natury. When you season a sauce at home, oregano or an Italian herb blend from our dried herbs shelf does that job in one step. Six ketchups on one shelf is a range small enough to describe jar by jar, which is what this page has done.
