Osavi food supplements – magnesium, collagen and more

Magnesium arrives here in two shapes and collagen in three, and that is the real question on this shelf. The Osavi range of food supplements we stock runs from a liposomal magnesium liquid to fruit-flavoured collagen sachets, mushroom blends and oral sprays. It suits shoppers who know their ingredient and need to settle the format. Match yours to a format you will take every day!

What supplements does Osavi offer?

More than fifty food supplements carry the Osavi name here, in a few clear groups. Vitamins and minerals bring vitamin C 1000 with rutin and rosehip, chromium at 200 mcg, methylfolate with methyl-B12 and three oral sprays.

Amino acids follow with betaine TMG, glycine at 1000 mg and NAC combined with selenium and molybdenum. A curcumin supplement, lycopene, shilajit, mushroom blends, liposomal glutathione at 500 mg and 5-HTP sit beside them in our supplements section.

What forms of magnesium and collagen are available?

A magnesium supplement here comes in two entries: a liposomal liquid stated at 375 mg and Magtein, an L-threonate in capsules. Collagen fills our collagen supplements section more widely, with hydrolysed collagen type I and III in fruit-flavoured sachets, collagen peptides in a 150 g pouch and an electrolyte version in 300–390 g tubs.

Liposomal magnesium and collagen peptides

Liposomal magnesium comes as a measured liquid, so the number on the front belongs to a stated portion. The collagen peptides split one powder two ways: sachets for a single serving and a 150 g pouch for a longer run.

The electrolyte version is the bulkiest pack here at 300–390 g, and it earns its place when a tub outlasts a box of sachets. The fruit flavours belong to the sachets.

Which Osavi supplements are vegan or gluten-free?

Almost every capsule pack in this range is marked as vegan caps, which makes it an easy shelf for vegan supplements. Gluten-free is a different case, and not a marking we put on this range.

A label answers only for what it prints, so the allergen line beside the ingredients is where the rest of that question goes. Our fibre supplements section is a separate shelf of ours, and Osavi does not make anything that sits on it.

How to read supplement labels and dosage

Four lines on the back of a pack settle most comparisons: the daily portion, the amount of each ingredient in it, the % NRV where a reference intake exists, and the line asking you not to exceed it.

Two packs of one ingredient become comparable once those per-serving figures sit side by side. Our Osavi shelf keeps every format together, so hold two labels against each other before you settle on one!

Frequently asked questions about Osavi food supplements

What is liposomal magnesium?

Liposomal describes how the ingredient is packed, with the magnesium sitting inside a fatty coating. It is a description of form and nothing more, and the same wording appears on the glutathione at 500 mg.

Are Osavi supplements vegan?

The capsule lines are, and collagen is the exception, because collagen is an animal protein and no sachet or tub of it fits a vegan diet. Sprays and powders carry their own front-of-pack wording.

What is the difference between collagen peptides and hydrolysed collagen?

They are two names for the same thing: a protein broken into shorter fragments, which is what lets it dissolve readily in a drink. What separates two packs is the amount per sachet on the back.

How should I take food supplements?

The format decides it: a sachet or scoop goes into water, a spray into the mouth, capsules with a drink. Every pack of food supplements prints a daily portion and a line asking you not to exceed it.
